Ok if you see a guy you fancy and he is in great shape and it shows he goes to the gym but is not too big just fit and well toned how do you girls like him to dress either very casual with the latest style fitting t-shirt(not too tight) and jeans or more dressy look with a shirt etc?

There's no standard model man, or standard model woman.

You could walk up to a group of 5 women, and 3 will like your outfit and 2 mightn't. Providing you're not wearing a Boh-iz jersey and tucking your trousers into your socks, its all a matter of personal style.

If you get 10 women to reply, they could all say something different. Wear what you like, take the odd risk, and remember its not what you wear....its how you wear it

Dress like you are loaded. They like that. I know a guy who started to wear a navy blazer with brass buttons, and the girls were all over him...

Personally I like the more casual look, nice jeans and a nice tshirt, probably coz that's kind of my boyfriend's style :) I'm not a fan of big obvious brandnames or anything though! And if you're going casual, it's important not to look scruffy!

I work in fashion and love to see a man who looks like he's made an effort but not O.T.T that he comes across vain or on the flip side insecure (<- that makes sense in its own way :) )

Personally I think Irish men are well below par with their European counterparts. Jeans and a striped shirt seems to have become the f.u.g.ly norm in this country.

I would suggest picking someone's style that you admire (i.e a celebrity) and work to that look. Keep it masculine but well structured.

I wont go into specifics because everyone is different but as someone mentioned earlier a good fitted cashmere blazer would be a worthwhile investment as it makes most outfits smarter and even if it goes out of fashion, stick it in the back of your wardrobe and you'll still get your money's worth when it comes back in.

And shoes! Always wear nice shoes. Not dirty, scuffed ones. You could do with maybe 3 pairs of shoes to mix around.

    Hope that helps.

how people dress depends on the place tbh. i was out the other night in a club wearing vans, jeans and my kraftwerk t shirt and it looked grand in the place (top floor of cuba in Galway) while some guys looked out of place in their ben sherman shirts, jeans and dubes combinations. where as if i was in a different club (or the 1st floor of cuba) i'd stick out like a sore thumb. i dress how i like ensuring i'm always wearing good clean clothes

It depends on a) who the guy is and b) who the guy is trying to attract. If he's a more "alternative" dresser who might have something like shaved hair, beard, or piercings, tattoos etc, he's not necessarily going to be turning the eye of your average D4, sparkly skirt, Cocoon dweller (unless she goes for that kind of thing). Similarly, the jeans with shoes guy isn't going to attract the more "alternative" girl (unless that's what SHE goes for).

So if you as a guy dresses in a particular way, be it ultra stylish and dripping in labels, or skater-style with Vans etc, just stick to it. Don't try and dress a way you THINK girls are going to like, cos you'll probably end up getting it wrong. You'll feel like a tool because you are not being true to yourself.

Once your clothes are clean, that's all that matter. Neatness is not essential (that could be your style). If they reflect your personality, then job done. Its up to the girls then to take it from there.

Wear something you're comfortable with, there's nothing worse / funnier than anyone wearing something to look great but not being comfortable in it, it's show's and you'll look terrible. Especially when you see someone just wearing clothes to follow a trend. Speaking as a guy, I have to say it's funny when you see women wearing short skirt and constantly pulling them down, just wear something a few inches longer and relax!!

Definitely make an effort though and you're doing the right thing.

I prefer the casual look, and clean clothes are vital! :D I don't find fellas who go out in shirts and are all jazzed up that attractive, but obviously that's just personal choice. One thing I dislike is fellas with their crisp shirts on and a gold chain, thumbs down!! :p

good boxers are a must too

nothing worse then seeing a guy with 5 year old boxers

Pants are required - apart from that, don't look like an idiot.

I think that dressing in what you feel most comfortable in (as long as it is clean) is always the best...having said that, I have always found that seeing my husband in a suit is a huge turn on!

    +1

Best advice I can give to my fellow men, is pay no regard AT ALL to passing fads. They're just that. You'll look cool for a night, and then you're Joe Bloggs #34 in a club full of 'em.

A visit to any indie nightclub in Dublin will show this straight away. Much as I love to go for the tu-inz, fashion fails are everywhere. Wear what you like, and if you are doing it to attract woman (:pac:), you best be noticeable.

couldnt agree more with the above poster

avoid trends. stick to classic cuts, lines, fabrics, styles.

there is a reason that some looks come and go (they suck) and some looks are always in style.

I really hate when guys wear those really low v neck t shirts when going out to show off their chest. Yuck.

    As seen here.

A cashmere blazer? I've heard of a cashmere "blend" blazer, or a 100% cashmere jumper / scarf...but surely you couldnt have a 100% cashmere blazer as it's a soft woolen fabric?

And the jeans you're wearing have 20% elastene in them...but you no doubt refer to them as denim. Semantic much?
