IQON Harddrive replacement

Hi all, can anyone tell me if it is ok to replace a 2.5" hitachi 4200rpm Hdd with a 2.5" 5200rpm Hdd in an IQON 8640 laptop. Would the 5200rpm be compatible with a system that has been running at 4200 rpm and could it cause any damage to the laptop. All help would be really appreciated. Thanks
