Oh there will be a very nice trophy for the winner that you may or not have to hide from your wife.

    (You know who you are.)

Sorry last thing we are in the process of signing a lease on a 3,800 sq foot premise on the Celbridge main street. Its a great location with an Open-plan layout.

Lots of details to follow but it will probably be an early April opening date.

The tournament schedule will mirror our current schedule in Tallaght.

The main difference is that we will have a full kitchen in Celbridge and we will try and rival some of the great food and value provided by the food in the Fitz.

So if you live in the Celbridge, Manooth, Leixlip, Lucan, Clane, Killcock, Trim etc etc area check out our web site to see whats coming your way.

    Thanks Ross

Well done and congratulations in running this tournament.
I'd love to play a heads up tournament as it is the pureist form of poker.
you should run a Omaha one too, I'm sure it would do well.

    Hi,

Just a reminder that we are holding our big heads up tourny this Sunday. Its €80 + €10 to enter and we are adding €1000 to the prize pool.

It should be a really fun game with great value.

We have over 20 names down on the list and lots of people expressing interest so if you want to play this please get back to me by P.M or send me a text its capped at 32 players. So if you want to play don't get frozen out on the night.

    Thanks Ross 086-2301229

    Hi,

We now have 23 confirmed players, so Only 9 seats left for Sunday. If you P.M me already for a seat I have put you down.

    Thanks Ross. http://www.thepokerroomtallaght.com

3,500 square foot card Club lease signed already on the busiest part of Celbridge Main Street, opening in Mid April. New building so they are refitting it at the moment.

    Its going to good.

    Hi,

We should have a few seats left for this great event, so you can just show up on the night if you want to play. We have been having some practice run-throughs at the club and its a very good game and the structure seems right. With each game lasting on average 40mins.

Just to confim your chips don't carry forward, you start each game with 10k starting stack.

    Thanks Ross 086-2301229

Sorry yes we are adding €1,000 to the prize pool for tomorrow night so if we have 32 players, the prizes would be

    1st €2,000
    2nd €1,000
    Semi-finalists €250 each.

So its great value and a very good prize pool with the
    €1,000 added.

Just in from this... got 2nd.. was a great tourney and a great bit of fun... the structure worked well to a point when it just jumped from 800/1500 to 1500/3000 if it got to this stage it was just luck..

Brefnie also cashed when I played him in the Semi Final..

Final hand was disgusting cooler when I was playing 9500 and opp was playing 10500 and he raised to 3 k and i shoved over with K10 he made the call with 9/10 and a K high flop left me in great position but unfortunately the poker gods got the better of me with runner 7/8 for a str8!

anyway great game and would like to see it a regular event

Great Tournament - Really good fun, 26 runners for a total prize fund of €3080

    Semi Finalists got €500
    Runner Up got €850
    Winner got €1150

Didn't see who won the final, managed to get to the semi myself.

Card room is very basic particularly the bathroom facilities, but the athmosphere was great and I would recommend the club to anyone.

Well done Paul. Sick runner runner on last hand but sure your well used to it at this stage :p

    Who took it down?

Not sure why it went from 800/1500 to 1500/3000 as there is allways a 1000/2000 level included in any tournaments I play there. Did you mention it to the TD?

Wasn't able to make it over myself this time.

    :D

Gerry - some luck box, In his first round match he had about 20% of the chips, shoved all-in, was dominated and hit his undercard. Pushed with his 40% and again dominated and hit his undercard. Final hand the opp has 20% of the chips and pushes an A. Gerry calls with 42 and hits the 2. Sickest run of cards - three consecutive hands.

It was a turbo structure. Blinds doubled every 10 minutes.
    25 / 50
    50 / 100
    100 / 200
    200 / 400
    400 / 800
    800 / 1500
    1500 / 3000

In the best game I had all night against Ken Ralph it was a shame it went to 1500/3000 as you could never fold your big blind at that stage... just a matter of who ran well

Cheers Paul was a good game mate ha no prizes for guessing who ran better 4 pairs of aces heads up in 15 hands has to be some record ha
