So my hair already isn't THAT long, about to my collar bone, but i've to cut it short for a fashion show and i'm just scared to how it will look and how i'll feel about myself after,
just wondering if any girls out there have cut their hair short and how did you feel?
short like to my chin, can i still wear extensions? or is it mad noticeable?

    cheers loves.

I found that really short hair was lovely, it is just the inbetween bit that was hard...is there any way that you can just wear a wig?

I had my hair a little above my chin when I was at school and I loved it, so low maintenance! But the growing out bit was a pain until it reached my shoulders. Not sure about wearing extensions etc.

I've had my hair short for ~10 years now, and I can't imagine growing it out completely. I had it at chin length about 3 years ago, and hated it because it was going into the nasty growing-out stage.

had hair cut shortish to collarbone (from bra strap length) cos it had gotten ratty at ends and i needed a bit of a change. However it grew out of the style quite quickly (had it to nape of neck at back and collarbone at front) so went to get it reshaped and the girl took too much off it, cut was awful so had to get it cut again the following week to fix it and it ended up at my chin, was a bit too short but when i got home and fixed in myself it was fine, then at xmas it was at my collarbone again, went to get my colour done for xmas and didnt want to get it cut, but hairdresser persuaded me (im such a sucker) to let her trim it. Back to my chin again. wasnt impressed but it was a lovely cut and ev1 admired it, so am at the stage now of growing it out. I miss my long hair. Moral of the story, a change is aways good, and hair grows!u might love it and if you dont?it wont be long growing back to the length it is now, its not that short!!:)

It's about 5cm long at the moment, chin-length was the longest it's been since I was 14 :pac:

Mine is shorter than yours at the mo!!! Short hair is not a bob, short hair is boy short IMHO.

I cut my hair last year from below shoulder length to short short and I love it I would never go back. I don't really think to the chin or collarbone is very "short" but that's just my opinion.
I have no regrets it's so easy to manage but you do need a good stylist to do it and you need to keep it maintained ie cut every 4 weeks or so. Otherwise it's wash and go bliss.
I deffo would never go back to long hair as my hair is very thick it's just to hard to manage long. Good luck in what ever you decide.

Short hair to me is a pixie cut, which can look awesome on the right person. I've had short-mid length hair for 5 years or so, and decided to grow it out a few months ago. It's just shoulder length and I don't like it now, it's harder to style, can't do funky styles with it, and gets knotty when I leave it down.

You can get lots of various short hair style - the A-line bob, assymetrical cuts with lots of layers etc... these can be both really feminine but you can funk it up when needs be.

I say take the plunge. You'll be surprised how fast short hair can grow out. And yes, you can wear extensions as long as your hair is thick enough to cover the bonds/clips.
