    hi all,
i recently purchased some new make up brushes and my skin is gone absolutely dreadful, this is the only thing i can think of that could be causing the problem.
I bought the brushes in America, a mix of benefit and sephora professional ones, prior to this i used bobbi brown brushes, i clean them with clinique make up brush cleanser quite regulary so they're not dirty. I'm just wondering has this happened to anyone else or could anyone help me and my poor skin:(
    Thanks

I'd say stop using them for a week or 2 and see how your skin is then... It might not be the cause even but at least you will eliminate them and you can start thinking about what else could be causing it.

Maybe your having a reaction to the cleaner? I use soap and water on mine.

I clean mine with shampoo aswell and then just let them dry completely on a kitchen towel over night or something. I asked in MAC one day to buy the brush cleaner and they said to just shampoo... hth!

that MAC brush cleaner destroyed my MAC kabuki...its unusable now...i think it too harsh as its mostly alcohol. i use shampoo now on mine too..

This happens to me if i go too long without cleaning the brushes.

Could be whatever hairs are used in the brushes as well. As another poster said don't use them for 2 weeks and see how your skin is then.
