    Hi All,

I'm a final year civil engineering student doing my final year project on retro fit cavity insulation.

I'm wondering if any of the people on this forum have any experience with this process either having had it installed in their own homes or have come across it in a professional capacity?

Apologies if this is the incorrect forum

I assume that you are referring to cavity fill or blown in insulation. Applying external insulation to a cavity wall isnt really a good idea and drylining isnt really a great solution either.
I have a cavity fill insulation in my house but unfortunately I cannot comment on how its preforming. As a last resort I would try this on a new build but the risk of voids in the insulation and the poor insulation quality of the material itself (compared to many on the market now) would put me off.
