Yep. They're separate devices - they're not dependant on each other. Could the batteries be dead in the wireless mouse?

he put in new batteries but it didn't work. he thinks it has to be synchronised. he's not very computer literate and i live 60 miles away so not much good to him! not that i'm very computer literate either.

What model number is the wireless keyboard and mouse? It's on the back of the receiving unit, normally you'd press the sync button on the base unit then do the same on the individual unit and they sync with each other, at least that how my ones work.

he's tried syncing them but it's not working. i think it'd be easier to get him to buy a new mouse if it will work.
