Wondering if any one can help?

I have the above model, it is jailbroken and my network is vodafone.

When I connect the phone to the PC, iTunes appears straight away but it is telling me that there is a new iPhone software version (2.2) available for the iPhone "iPhone". and would i like to download and install it?

Would it cause any problems if i do?

I would think it would cause proplems (overwriting the jailbroken software and stopping it working with vodafone)....

I think because of the version you're on it will basically lock the phone again. You should re-pwn (using pwnage tool, or quickpwn) your phone just to update, because you're missing out on newer features. Also, in newer versions, you can update the phone directly in cydia, so you won't have to worry about iTunes moaning at you!
