Just like what the title suggests, what albums are you really looking forward to now that we are into 2009. I am looking forward to the following and can’t wait to pick them up.

    Arch Enemy
    Behemoth
    Delain – April Rain
Hammerfall - No Sacrifice, No Victory
    Lamb of God - Wrath
    Mastodon
    Megadeth
    Heaven and Hell
    Sepultura
    Sirenia – The 13th Floor
    Slayer

Who are you guys looking forward to listening to and do you think they will be as good as they will be built up?

Might go for Mastodon??? Slayer have lost the plot, imo. Never liked Megadeth.........! I must invest in some of Mastodon's old stuff. I quite like em.

I'm eagerly anticipating Rammsteins new album. I dont really expect anything else of interest in 09. I'll have to do some research on Lacuna Coils new album Shallow Life before I hand over money for it. I got burned with Karmacode, which was mediocre at best.

Mastodon is the only one I can think of. Unlike most on here, I think their albums are getting better.

Not signing to a major label was one thing that hampered Lacuna Coil imo. They stuck with Century Media. A lot of nu-metal influences didn't help either. Think it was an experiment that didn't work out. It wasn't a bad album I think, just a different direction. Let's hope the new album is more along the lines of Comalies. Now I'm reading the new album will have Arabian influences.

Completely forgot to put Rammstein down . Did anybody get the Völkerball DVD? I got it before Christmas and love it to bits. Read on their website the first stage of recordings is complete.

Kreators new album "Hordes of Chaos" is out now. My Dying Bride will be out on Mar 23.

Well I've heard rumours that Sonata Arctica are currently recording a new album, so I'd have to say that - though that will more than likely be a 2010 release. Apart from that - Arch Enemy and Rammstein would be two that I'm very much looking forward to. I'd also agree with Nightwish that Karmacode was a heap of ****e, so I'll have to listen to Lacuna Coil's new album before I make any decisions on it.

I plicked up A-Lex over the weekend. Not as good or experimental as Dante XXI, IMO, but easily their most consistently heavy offering for a long, long time. I like it a lot.

Feb 3rd 2009 is the release date, how exactly did you acquire it? I hope it was not through alternative means. :(

the new Pearl Jam album combined with the ten re-issue shall be making my ****ing year!

im hearing rumours of somethin Velvet Revolver but i'm not very confident

while im on about VR, i migth aswell mention Stone Temple Pilots, cant wait to see what scott's got for us now!

Alice in Chains looks promising enough, i like the new guy so im quietly confident

and then i also have my eternal hope of some Rage stuff or failing that, some new Nightwatchman sthuff wouldnt go amiss either!

One Day As A Lion may interest you also, it came out last summer, and has De La Rocha in familair form.
