This is my second stab at weightlifting after a previous (largely wasted) six month stint spent in a gym following your average cliched curls/bench-press routine, a result of poor advice from gym instructors and my own lack of research and knowledge.

I decided to have a second crack at it and keep it as simple and basic as possible at home with a barbell and bench. Endless isolation exercises seemed fairly pointless when to be honest i'm relatively puny all over, so i've been at it for two or three months now and I thought i'd check here and see if i'm making any major mistakes or i'm completely on the wrong track. I'm 6"1 83kilos and lift four times a week (mon/tue/thurs/sat) and take turns between two routines which are:

    A: Flat bench 80kg 2x12
    Incline bench 60kg 2x12
    Barbell curl 40kg 2x12
    Skullcrusher 30kg 2x12
Reverse curl 20kg 2x12 (it seems my wrists really hold me back on these more than anything)

B: Deadlift 100kg 4x6 (I'm stuck here for now while I source some more olympic weights, I should have got 140kg's!)
    Barbell shoulder press 40kg 2x12
    Dumbell bent-over row 25kg 2x12
Lying row (i think that's it, lying on the bench pulling the barbell underneath upwards) 55kg 2x12

I'm planning to add squats as soon as I get a squat rack along with the extra plates so any advice about where to slot them in would be great to!
