    Hi People;

I am just going to begin to play guitar (never played before) and I was going to buy today but my mind split between two guitar models. One of them is SX G1DK I believe it is pack Guitar+bag+strap+tuner+stand+plectrums+adjuster all for 99eur and there was Cort all above with padded bag but Cort is 159euro. I believe Cort is better quality but I cannot separate these two There was Yamaha for 139eur but they did not have I will buy this from Limerick and any ideas are appreciated. Just to remind again I am novice at this level.

    Thank you all

    Cahit

I'd say for that price range there wont be a huge amount between them. Just go for the one you like the look of most and if you enjoy it think of getting a better quality upgrade after a while.. Good luck with the learning!

Get the Cort. It'll most likely be higher quality than the SX.

Had a look at my cousin's Corts before and they seemed decent enough for the money. Yamaha Pacificas were the budget guitar of choice for many years so don't rule it out.

As for the SX, I don't know enough about them, but getting all that gear for less than 100 doesn't speak volumes about quality imo.

Dare I mention the second hand market? As its in the toilet you could do very well!

SX are ok for the money, but that one he spoke of is one of the starter pack guitars. They're of a much much lesser quality.

Yamaha Pacifica's are also a good choice as you said! The 112 is a perfect beginner guitar for around 200euro. (www.GAK.co.uk)

As far as used goes, adverts.ie is full of a shoite load of guitars in your price range!

Thanks guys, adverts.ie full of guitars but mostly around and in Dublin, I looked for in Clare,Limerick and Tipp but not much. I am going to buy this weekend likely from TSV Store in Limerick, They did not have Yamaha for 139eur but might have little bit higher, Cort is considered as it is pack but would you recommend just getting the guitar and collecting the equipment later?

    Thanks

    What's TSV?

I'd suggest buying seperate accessories. Usually they just put a load of useless things in with it and charge a lot extra.

Plus going on what packs I've seen:

    amp, aweful
    strap, cheap and weak
    leads, absolute rubbish
plecs, horrid things usually too pointy, too shiny (hard to hold) or waaaay too hard for a beginer.

Sorry wrote wrong it is FSV Music Store in Limerick located on Mulgrave St. I will go with guitar and collect the accessories as you guys suggested. I think I can buy accessories cheaply from adverts.ie or ebay. Thanks again
