Is that the same John Buckley that has a shop in Cork city? I was thinking of travelling down there to get gait analysis done and find the best runners for myself. Do you know if I can just show up or do I have to book an appointment?

Are you sure they do gait analysis? It's been a few months since I've been in there but I don't recall this.

Might be worth giving them a buzz to check.

Ya calling them might be the best idea. I dont know where I heard they do it but I was under the impression they did.

Last year I heard that a sports store in Newcastle West Co. Limerick had this new machine which would sort you out with the best runners for your feet and running style. I rang the shop first to make sure they had it. Drove the whole way there. Asks the girl behind the counter about it, she proceeds to show it to me and then says 'but none of the staff are trained in using it' To say I was peeved is putting it mildly.

Definately dont want go to Cork and find they cant help me either.

I was in there last year and they didn't have gait analysis.

A guy (not Tony Buckley) looked at my feet, told me to put pressure on them and then said what he thought I was.

I got a proper gait analysis done later that year and the pair I got in Buckleys still feel much better.

Where did you get the gait analysis done? Was it expensive? Just wondering where I could get it done. Cheers

And all of his prices are less 10% for mail order, which is great, but not if you live in Cork and walk in off the street, where we have to pay full whack!
But I suppose the loyalty card will compensate for this....

I got it done in bray in amphibianking (they have a website) and it was free. They had a running track thing and a computer to see the stride, very cool stuff. You can then try on different runners and see do they suit your stride. Not sure of places in Cork that do it but that edge shop on henry street might. runways in dublin and a few others also do it.

Just digging up an old tread cos I was searching myself and came across this - I just called the shop and they do offer gait analysis now.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to add it's free and no appointment necessary.
