Hi can anyone who does this please pm me with details, as i am getting married in August 2nd and looking for someone to do the video for us.

It is a low key affair and we are keeping the costs down so a trainee or student of arts or soemthing would be great

    Thanks in advance

You are not going to get the same finished product a professional would produce if you get a trainee or student of arts to record your special day.

Try & shop around for a good price and ask to see a sample of their work.

We do understand that, but i am guessing a professional will be out of our price range. I wasnt going to get it video'd but i realised using our own camera wont work in dim lit rooms.

    Hi Fi,

I understand that you don't want to spend a whole pile on a video but from my own experience, the money I spent on a videographer was very well spent!!! I got to see things that as I missed such as my husband getting ready, guests arriving, interactions between people who would never have met but most of all, having the ceremony recorded is amazing. It's something that I will treasure forever, so if you can scrimp and save that bit extra, you won't regret it.

My advice is consider what happens AFTER the wedding is over. Yes you have SAVED some money... BUT.... The fodd is consumed, the Dress is in Storage, the flowers are Dead, and the Honeymoon has Happened.

Is it worth spending all the money on everything for ONE DAY, and yet save the cost of the Flowers or Dress on preserving those Magic Memories forever ?

Now consider if you DO book a professional wedding video on DVD....

Your dress, your speeches, your Family... are preserved in your very own Time Capsule FOREVER; exactly as you remember them. But it is Your decision. Anywhere from 900 to 1500 Euro is what this will cost you. But what the heck; its only YOUR memories. Whatever you do, DO NOT SKIMP on the VALUE of your memories, you owe it to your future children.... what would you pay today to view a video of Your parents wedding ?

Obviously price is important ! But firstly, ask yourself how will You feel in 10 years time; when you remember that you saved a few hundred Euro on the wedding budget, and then you are stuck with a terrible wedding video, or even worse an amateur one that you’re ashamed to show to people.

You will be so excited on Your Wedding Day that you will miss half of what goes on. When you return from honeymoon, the first thing you will want to do, is watch your Wedding Movie. After all, it is a Feature Film of the biggest day of your life.
