I'm based in Dublin 3 and need to put quite a lot of blinds on a new apartment. Can anyone recommend someone who is quick and cheap?

    Many thanks.

Hey Phoenix I might take that number off you if you can pm me. I found the site below that sells blinds, has anyone used them?

There's a blind company in dublin 3 near the fire station I think. Could be Tiffany blinds or something like that - they have ads in the northside people regularly

    Hi guys,

I just got some Keylite windows (similar to velux) installed. I need blackout blinds for them. I got quote for them from Keylite for the blinds and am very unimpressed with the price. They are 1/2 the price of the windows.

Does anyone know where I can get blackout blinds for Keylite windows apart from getting them from the maker of the window, at cheap price?

    Does anyone have these windows??

I am in Dublin by the way, but anywhere that supplys them would be a start.

    Done.

I just want to say, since I've recommended this place to so many people, that I have no connection to them except that they fitted my blinds :)

Was given this link in another forum........http://www.valeblindsdirect.co.uk/

They sell "genuine" made blinds for tons of makers AND they sell their own version of the same blinds cheaper. I was quoted 165 euro for one blackout blind by Keylite but can get the vale brand for 60 pounds. Shipping is 24 euro from UK to Ireland no matter how many you buy.

So for me it would cost 220 euro for my 3 blinds from that site, where as the ones from keylite directly would cost me 495 euro. I called ValeBlinds and they said that keylite had contacted them about buying their blinds from them to supply customers. Interesting.

Sorry, just remembered this post is about fitting blinds, but oh well, good info anyway, I think.

    hi op

i bought an apartment last august and it has massive windows. i used a lovely lady to measure for the blinds (complicated window system!), get hte blinds for me and fit them. it wasn't cheap but it wasn't expesive either when i saw the finished result - they look massive. throw me a message and i will pass on her number.

i had a smaller window in the bathroom (that didn't have any frosting on it...) and i used acme blinds - agent in Tiffany Blinds on Newtownpark Ave. they were quite expensive but the blind (gold sparkily metal blind - sounds wierd but worked well with hte bathroom) was great! the blind was 160e and it was 1ft x 4 ft.
