    Hi,

Sorry if im posting in the wrong place...

I've pretty much trying everything possible at this stage, thought id post here on the off-chance someone knows something or has/ will comes across 'em.
Left a large bag of records (12 inch Vinyl) in the back of a taxi NYE after a gig at MC GRUDERS bar on Thomas st , got dropped to rathfarnham after being picked up outside the BREWERY HOSTEL beside Mcgruders bar 5.30-6am.
I have no way of identifying the driver, no reciept, checked cctv etc.
Trying the carriage office everyday as well as the garda stations etc.

Apart from the obvious sentimental value of the records, this is how I earned my living, I am unable to work form this point in tiime.

If anyone gets offered, see's or hears of my records etc, can you let me know.
There is a substantial reward on offer.

It was a black UDG bag containing about 100 vinyl.
There was also, sony headphones, ortofon pro-s carts, ipod, cybershot digital camera in it too.
    products-UDG_Flipfront_Slanted_Bag-convenience.jpg

    Dave tarrida
    Alex Cortex
    Adam x
    Sunil Sharpe
    Shawn Rudiman
    Americhord
    Stephen Brown
    Matt French
    Patrik Skoog
    Headroom
    Oscar mulero
    Gunjack
    Rennie Foster
    Christian Wunsch
    Beyer
    Grindvik
    Hardcell
    Rumenige and loktibrada
    Ian J richardson
    Dj Boss
    A.Paul
    Lars Kein
    Dj Bone
    Los Hermanos
    Percy x
    Mark Broom
    Carl Craig

    some labels:
    Loads of older drumcode stuff
    Drumworks stuff
    A red planet album
    Platzinkirchen
    D1
    Subject detroit
    Planet E
    Planet Rhythm
    Palicavonzreca

That's all I can remember at the minute, heads all over the place.

You need to talk to the Carraige Office in Dublin Castle.

    Hi Thanks for the reply.

I have been trying there everyday since it re-opened after the holidays.
    No joy unfortunatley.

You could try putting a poster up in The Flyer Cafe at 'the kesh' (the taxi holding area) in Dublin Airport. The driver who picked you up may frequent the airport.

Or perhaps a small ad in the Herald (a lot of drivers seem to read it).

Damn I would be like a headless chook if that happened to me. Here's what you could do. If you have a vague description of the taxi driver in question you could go to a taxi rank and ask some of the drivers if they know a driver fitting the bill or if they heard of one of them finding a bag of records. Tell them you have just lost your livelihood and there is something in it for them if they help you track the geezer down. Its a long shot but worth a try.

Was there a radio in the taxi? You could ring in a few places and get them to call it out over the radio... Unfortunately, if it's been nearly two weeks, it may have gone missing :(

There are over 20000 taxi's in Dublin, some of which are illigals wishing to stay below the radar - good luck with that one.

Try posting over with Spooks forum dublintaxi.net or a call to Q102 (every taxi driver I know listens to Q102). In fact as your a DJ this is probably your best route as I'm sure they'll have some understanding of your situation.

Best of luck in finding your gear.

I have a lot oof faith in taxi drivers with this kind of thing. Q102, poster in the kesh and the herald are all great ideas!

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for you help and ideas.
I will try the 'kesh' today, that's a smart idea.
Put up notices in some of the taxi companies and garda stations.
The hearald is also a good idea.
I have had it read out on Newstalk, emailed joe duffy and Gerry Ryan but no joy- will try Q102.

    Thanks again....fingers crossed

useless shower of cuñts in there. A taxi driver drove off with a bag I had early dec after he took out 3 bags and left other in the boot. I doubt he done it on purpose but the fact of the matter is I knew where he lived, his name, which was foreign and there was only one person in the area he lived with that name, still chasing the braindead idiots in that office!!
