Time for a real petrolhead thread

Basically find a car on carzone, autotrader etc. and divide the cars price by its 0-60 time so if something is cheap and has a quick 0-60 then it will get a good score.

Example:

8000euro/5.5s = 1455points

Some groundrules:

Has to be 10yrs or younger
Has to cost more than 1000euro
Price has to include VRT

for the "lowest points wins" rule, you may want to calculate the points by multiplying rather than dividing the 2 values

This is flawed. It should be (price)*(0-60 time), not (price)/(0-60 time). By the original rules, a E1000 car with a 15 second 0-60 will get an unbeatable 67 points, where as one with a magical 2 second 0-60 will get 500 points.

You guys are correct, multiplication is the way to go and by that rationale:

S60R = 8000*5.5 = 44000 points

and

Fiat Coupe 2.0 20V Turbo 280bhp = 5950*5.5 = 32725

So the fiat, being lower, has best bang for buck so far.

One of the rules is that it has to cost more than a 1000euro, precisely for this reason.

Edit: Actually i'm going to add a stipulation that the car mush have a minimum 0-60 of 8seconds as slower than this is not really in the spirit of things.

I really should have thought it through better but its a good alternative to VRT or fog light threads.
