    Hi All,

I'm really interested in learning Spanish. At the moment have absolutely no clue about the language whatsoever but would like to make a start with the eventual goal of reaching fluent level.

Anyone know of any good part-time courses which may be usefull in the South-East area?

    Any advice appreciated.

You could try some of those beginners tapes. They should be available in Easons or a good bookstore. Local schools and community centres usually have language night courses running in September and January or you could do a beginners class with the Open University.

I have been learning spanish on and off for the last few years and by far I have found podcasts to be the most useful way for me to learn spanish. You can find many different types of spanish podcasts on itunes some obviously better than others. The best I think for beginners would be coffee break spanish which have I think up to 60 podcasts free of charge. Also do a search for notes in spanish (they have beginner, intermediate and advanced) As you progress with the language you can always step up a level.
    Hope this helps.
    Mucha suerte!!!... :)
