That would be a good move for his Ireland prospects alright. Are Leinster looking for him?

There were rumours about that last summer. But he signed a new contract with Wasps at the end of last summer. I think it was at least 2 years. I think many felt at the time that the rumour was spread just so he could get some extra cash out of Wasps.

Leinster desperately need a good scrum-half, not sure Reddan is the best option but he would be better then Whitaker.

Agreed, watching Whitaker vs Cardiff was like watching an aged orangutan pick a coconut off the jungle floor.
He is very poor noe and negates what should be a good backline with constant slow ball.
A saw a few times when the ball was out and at his feet and he didn't realise it.
Remains to be seen if Reddan will come back, he was treated pretty poorly at Munster and that has probably affected his outlook.

As far as I know Leinster tried very hard to sign him last summer.

Wasps are facing what is delicately called a crisis at the moment. They're potentially going to lose 5 or so first-teamers this summer. Hard to know if they'd let Reddan go, conversely - would he want to stay?

or would they chance Murphy from Connacht.....?
Really think he should leave if he wants to play i RWC for Ireland and if he wants to play in HEC......and i think its better if leintser bring in Irish scrum half!

Thats the first I've heard of Reddan being treated poorly at Munster - thought it was more that he left because he knew it was going to take a bit of time to dislodge Peter Stringer as first choice SH (which was true) and fair play to him, he moved on and got gametime with a top team. Anyway, he is from Limerick for gawd sake - enough to put him off wanting to play for Leinster :D

I thought the reason why he didn't sign for Leinster at the time, was because he was hoping to get back to Munster (to replace Stringer), but it looks like Tomas O'Leary (who is younger) has now got first choice SH in Munster sown up and Peter Stringer is still there, so Leinster (if he wants to come back to Ireland), would be his best option so I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

Why on earth would he want to leave Wasps for Leinster?
He is still Irish no 1 scrum half so that nulifies any argument about his Irish prospects playing abroad. Anyway O Leary will be Irish no.9 by 6 nations end regardless IMO.

For the paycheck - same as all the other signings.

Leinster tried to sign him last season, he turned them down, stayed at Wasps and had an absolutely abysmal season. They can keep him. I'd sooner want to get Willis back off Ulster than go in for Reddan.

For my money he'd be battling it out with Best for 3rd choice Irish scrum half. Not half the player O'Leary is. O'Leary is a better scrum half for a scrum half role, but has a whole other demention to his game outside of that. Easily 1st choice. Stringer is very good too, just one dementional.

    Best?

Willis could probably be brought back easily enough considering he only signed a one year contract (I think) and has lost his place to Boss anyway. Still don't think he's really recovered from his shoulder op though.

    :o boss, sorry.

Assume he meant Boss. Otherwise it could be a very interesting half back pairing ;)

    lol,are you actually serious?your having a laugh right?
first of all, reddan won the premiership with wasps and started the majority of that season.really?how is that abysmal?
secondly tol is not a specialist player,as we seen on the weekend, the munster coaches see him as a fill in,he has played wing scrum half and out half, this shows that he has to chips on the table when trying to bargain himself a place as scrumhalf on that team.scrum half is a specialist position, and to be the best you must exccel in your passin and foreward control, this is not possible if you must know other calls for other positions, eoin reddan however just plays scrum half and is an excllent passer, tackler, controller of the game ,and can also put in a decent box kick, which saves wasps asses since"golden boy"cipriani decides to get charged down so often.
and as for stringer,he cant tackle!weakest link in the chain if playing, reddan is the best irish scrum half going at the moment.enough said

Reddan was good last season. To be fair Jackass is right, he has been very poor in all of the games i've seen him in(along with a lot of Wasps players) this season. TOL is the best SH in the country atm, he was thrown in at out half based on the fact that he is a decent kicker and Munster don't have utility players like Leinster do in the backs and are stuck in a potential rut with ROG and Warwick both being injured. I was impressed with Boss versus Munster, i thought he was excellent-best game he has had in a while.

Wasps-Edinb in the HC i think it was he was awful iirc. His kicking was dreadful. The Leinster match he wasn't great really at all but to be fair very few Wasps players came out with much credit that day. He was decent against Sarries though from the highlights i saw. I've seen a couple of other games where he wasn't the same influence as he was last year at all.

There's a big difference between him not having the same influence as last year and being completely awful all season.

Interview with Reddan in Irish Times today. I suppose winning a fair few trophies and competitions would go a long way to building up a fair bit of loyalty to that particular club.
The former Munster scrumhalf could have been lining out for Leinster this season but he’s enjoying his rugby now and, needless to say, has no regrets about not taking up the offer to join his opponents this Saturday.

“I’m not someone who dwells on things, I just carry on with whatever decisions I make. Leinster are a great club and it will be a massive game this week. I enjoy it here, I love playing with Wasps and living in Richmond. I enjoy my rugby but when you’re finished training at 3.00 that’s it. It’s obviously a very small part of life in London and I can switch off.”
