Ever been post of the day.

Occasionally I check in on post of the day and I think its fairly spread out across the forums of Boards. Its rare you see the same person, or same forum get post of the day two days in a row, and for this alone I think it'd be very hard for someone to post several 'POTDs.

My question is have you ever posted the post of the day?
And if so how many times?

The Photography forum seems to get more posts of the day than most.

It's done on a thanks system isin't it?

I don't think so. The most thanks I ever got was about 12 or so, so I doubt it. Plus I don't know of anyway of checking

I had a post that I was fairly sure was gonna make thread of the day when I saw the thanks it got, but then some mod did some mod-licking in feedback and beat me to it by a couple of thanks. GRRR...

I just checked todays and yes its a photography post... That forum must be loaded with thanks whores.

Yep once. For completing my SSF challenge. I've been joint first once :mad: and second on at least one occasion. Poker and Photography get the POTD regularly. I think Pighead might have won it twice btw.

It's best not to insinuate any of the photography posters are whores. The last time somebody did that, there was a Feedback war over it.

People probably upload a lot of photo's in the photography forum (I know i know, I'm a ****ing genuis). Rather than taking the time to post a comment like "Love the picture, great set of tits", they thank them instead.

Nope. My humour is too edgy to be thanked by enough people. I reckon the most thanks I've gotten have been in a secret forum so chances are it couldn't be Potd. The OT thread in the Poker forum takes it a lot.

I've seen posts from secret forums be Potd and appear in topped thanks. Not sure if that's changed recently.

Whats weird is that the thanks count has done up since I last saw it.
I think people are still thanking it.

Twice. One was for wishing everyone here a happy christmas, can't remember what the other one was. I was robbed of another because I posted it before midnight. If it had been posted after midnight it would have been post of the day.

I think someone from here should start a new thread to show boards that we can make a post of the day if we want to, by just getting everyone to thank the original poster.

I was going to before I realized that I rarely post here so I dont have enough credibility because no one here knows me.

I won POTD once. It was a slow day. I was also robbed once. Same as AC, pre- midnight post that was most thanked at 10:45pm but disappeared completely then.
AH gets a huge amount of POTD. I've been meaning to compile them into a thread of some sort but figured it would just result in shameless thankswhoring. Though maybe, just maybe, this thread is illustrating that the trend has worn off?

Javaboy was pure robbed tho.
He and I know what I'm talking about.
