What It'd Be Like Without Oil!

    Cant see it really happening but if Ukriaine or whoever end up leading to a stop in oil coming to Ireland what would it be like.
    Nobody over a couple of miles could go to work or school - the country would stop :eek:

    There is more than one place to get oil ya know. It'd just be very expensive

    It's gas that comes throught the Ukraine rather than oil isin't it?

    Society wouldn't do weel at all if oil disappeared tmro, but i'm sure it would eventually recover and probly be more sustainable as well

    Did shell ever finish that gas rig off the Mayo coast? We can just take that back off them.

    Either that or say we're going to build another in a dolphins nest and burn all the hippies that show up.

    Oil indeed although the gas problem is in the news at the moment.
    There is pipelines coming and/or owned by Russia that are being used as a stranglehold on the rest of us.

    1. I was only saying what would it be like without oil - never said this particular situation would lead to an oil shortage for us and...

    2. Any shortage in oil will affect Ireland as even if the oil we get isnt from Ukraine the shortage will lead to our oil being got by another bigger country before us! (This was on Matt Cooper show so is gospel :p)

    I think a bunch of hippies gave out about that for a little while but i'm not sure what happened after that....
