By flying car from London to Timbuktu

    By Jude Sheerin
    BBC News

A voyage to fabled Timbuktu in a flying car may sound like a magical childhood fantasy. But this week a British adventurer will set off from London on an incredible journey through Europe and Africa in a souped-up sand buggy, travelling by road - and air.

If you could fulfill a fantasy, what would it be?

PS yer man doing it looks a bit like my atatar :D

My fantasy would be to apply for this new job as an "adventurer"

Seems to be a good few around and growing.

Wonder what the qualifications would be??

based on current incumbents the main competencies would appear to be:

No job or no money of your own

    Ultra hard neck

A firm belief that it behoves others to pay for your adventures and they will benefit from it.

A direct line to RTE or the newspapers and line in selfish patter that would make Bevvie Flynn green with envy.

A belief that once it's for "the Charity" the gullible masses will stump up

Anyone any idea where to apply for this adventurer job??

Mine is actually something similar. I would love to fly a microlight to Australia.
