This is one for anyone who owns a Gretsch with a rocking bar bridge. Try changing it for a tunematic (ABR-1)

The 0520 ones come recommended by TV Jones. They are the ones he used on Brian Setzers guitars. He also doesn't seem to be a fan of the rocking bar bridge.

Dramatically changes the sound of the instrument (for the better in my opinion). Makes it more open, twangy and a lot less tubby sounding. Obviously a good set up is needed and the bridge will need to be angled probably to allow for decent intonation but otherwise a very cool mod for not too much cash. You just might like it.
