Language Course and Skiing - Any thoughts on Kitzbuhel?

    Hi all,

I am interested in combining a German language course (in morning) and skiing (in afternoon). I am wondering has anyone done this before? If so, could they recommend the language course that they did and is it a good idea to do both?

Also, the course I am looking into at the moment is in Kiztbuhel? What is skiing and nightlife like there?
    Thanks

Skiing in great in Kitzbuhel, and Kirchberg mountains at the moment, I was there 2 weeks ago.

Also Kitzbuhel has a pretty good apres ski setup, there is an English bar in the middle od the town, which is always worth a visit.

The only think about doing a German course in Austria, is that they speak it with a slight accent.

You will not only be able to ski Kitz but also the ski welt and Schneewinkl areas as you can get the train/bus to these places.

The only thing I would say is that it might be more expensive for your accomm in Kitz so maybe look to St Johann or somewhere on the train line to Westendorf.

I did a German course in Kitz in one of the schools there but this was after work once a week. It was good and I learned a lot. Think it was a 10 week course.

Don't worry about the accent - the course will be aimed at your level (just don't plan on understanding the locals :D ). Skiing and nightlife will be good but as said Kitzbühel is expensive.
