Is there any reason why many doctors being interviewed for TV insist on draping a stethescope (sp?) around their necks before going on camera ??

It's often the TV guys who insist on it to be honest.

A classmate of mine was on paeds with me about 2 years ago, she's kinda big in the sports worlld and was being interviewed for some programme. Anyway the producer insisted she wore a white coat and steth around her neck, even though we did neither during a paeds rotation.

They are not surgeons wearing the tubes.
Prefer blood and gristle splashed scrubs for any future tv appearance
