I have a basin of water out the back garden to collect rain water that I use for some meat eating plants I have.
(tap water tends to kill carnivorous plants)

Over the Christmas it froze over and left a nice thick
    sheet of Ice.

I could not resist......I decided to shoot at it and was overjoyed to see it the BB's made nice little holes in it
and it reminded me of bullet holes like you see in the movies.

I tend to call them exit wounds instead of bullet holes. Spent the lunch break at hrta shooting through ice sheets with my triple barreled shottie a while back.

Carniverous plants eat meat, usually insects but sometimes small mice can be trapped and digested. There's loads of them, the best known are probably Venus fly traps and pitcher plants.
