My hairdresser has moved abroad and my hair needs cutting and colouring in the next few weeks. I would like recommendations for a salon that has a reputation for doing execellent cuts and hair colouring. Preferably one where turnover in stylists is not too frequent. Also what can I expect to pay for a cut and blowdry and semi permanet colour of medium length hair. Many thanks in advance.

I would recommend Anna Furlong's Hair Salon on South Street, New Ross (opposite Xtravision). I have been going there with years and people always compliment my hair and all my famiy get their hair done there too. It is a fantastic salon - well worth a trip down. I think a cut, colour and blowdry might be around €100 but it's worth giving them a call and making an appointment.
    hope this helps.

    Hi

I usually pay about E140 for half head easy meche, cut and blow dry. I find Peter Marks (Wexford) the best for colour and above Sam McCauley (don't know the name) for cuts.

Peter Marks I quite like, but Sam McCauley always seems in need of redecorating and looks old and shabby. Can usually get an appointment easily though, and the cut is good

Thank you for your suggestions. Not sure how it works but I am wondering if this post would be better placed in another forum such as Fashion and Appearance, or maybe in both places?? Could a Moderator please advise.
