    From today's Sun:
Meanwhile former BDO world champ Andy Fordham has joined the PDC as he bids to get back to the top of the game. The Viking has spent two years off the oche due to liver problems.

Wonder how will he get on, what do you think lads?

Dont think the PDC is the place to try "get your game back." But best wishes all the same.

I'd like to see him do well, really would after all he's being through.
I'm thinking he would get into the top 100 if he's lucky with the long lay off he's had.
Don't see much promise for him with this move if I'm quite honest as he will probably have to adjust his throw and stance due to his massive weight loss.
    I wish him the best.

One of my all time favourite players, I'm delighted that he is going to give it a real go to get back to the top of the game. I wish him all the best.

It will take some time for him to hit form, not easy coming back after his problems.

i would love to see him do well there but it will be hard look at the good bdo players who said the would do well inthe pdc ranks a few who failed

colin monk, tony eccles, mark richardson, sean palfrey, paul williamson, thats a a few who failed

I wouldn't say Eccles has been a failure. He has qualified for most of the TV tournaments and has probably earned himself more money in the PDC than he did in the BDO. He is 26th in the world which is higher than Van Gerwen and he isn;t far behind Klaasen. I think you're being a bit harsh on him. I would agree with the others though.

i think klassen is the real deal, a bit fast for me but still a super thrower, but i think he did better as the format got longer and he was still there to taste the longer matches...

It would be great to see Andy at anything like his old form when he won the BDO title. I can't see him competing with Taylor + Barney but Andy was a real on the night player and he could have some classics with the second level like Mardle, Jenkins, Lewis etc.

He couldn't even qualify for the BDO World Championships this year, what hope has he??

This has to be a rumour

It's now a fact that he will be joining the PDC.

Hasn't much of a chance of getting to a televised event for at least a year as now he has a bad back and also still hasn't adjusted his throw.

Loved watching the viking play at the embassy which seems like a long time ago now what a player and comes across as a really top bloke, but cant see him get back to past form how would he cope under pressure with out any drink in his system to calm his nerves????As he stated himself he used to drink between 15-25 bottles of beer before a big game and cannot even remember much of his world champ win!!!!
Best of luck to him anyways!
