Anyone else catch the report on NewsTalk this morning about a ghost in some town/village in Tyrone? Queues of cars streamed into the town to try and catch a sight of it.

The main eye withness is a 7-year-old or something!?!

I think that was the gist of it, wasnt really listening.

Some older folk have seen it too and reckon it looks like some auld wan who lived there years ago!

The 7-year-olds parents, who also run a pub, are backing their child and deny its a publicity stunt to get punters in...

Gives a new meaning to the very true phrase that nobody would be caught dead hanging around Tyrone.

Ghost-hunting... lets face it, it's a few highly strung people with anxiety disorders panicing at the curtains blowing in the wind.

The Sun would have said she was 17 and printed a topless pic.

Becki, 17, Tyrone. Loves to be spooked at night

    True story.

I was buying my lunch one afternoon in Centra, Bary. I ordered my roll and just as i ordered i realised i skipped the queue. It was Adrienne Kennedy the radio guy. It took me a few seconds to cop who he was but either way I apologised and jokingly said i hope i won't get a mention on the "get it off your chest" chats they do have. He had a little giggle and mentioned about going to some hotel to find some ghosts and that it was live on the show. I said to him "Adrienne i tell you what, my name is *snip* and my address is *snip* if you find a ghost and can prove 100% that it was seen by the naked eye i will allow you to name and shame me live on radio. I was never named and shamed.

    Why?

The queues of cars are there because of the cheap shopping. Probably the reason the ghost is there too.

You're right. I hardly need to point out something that is so self-evident.

Calling anyone Tyrone is an insult imo.

You open the door to a terrorist, a young fella riding bare back on a horse and an unemployed cork hurler. They look angry.

Sorry but i'm from Tyrone and it's far from ballymun!! No high rise flats here chap. Cork actually is a decent county but the one next door kerry - well you know why the birds fly upside down over it - nothing worth sh1tting on!!

By the way there is a ghost in tyrone called sam maguire. Apparently he has been seen quite a bit there from last september. People from kerry and dublin are driving up to see it and then filling their cars with cheap booze to drown their sorrows with back home!!

This is like the story of the moving statue of Ballinaspittle in 1985. Some kids saw her move, so lots of older people went to see her and saw her move too. That same Summer 4 girls in Sligo were walking along the road singing "hail holy queen Mary"(or something like that) and, lo and behold, she (Our Lady herself) appeared in the sky! She was probably telling the stupid b*t&hes to get a life and sing some Madonna instead. The people of Ireland had gone a bit mad that Summer because there wasn't any sunshine and were fed-up talking about the bad weather. Maybe that's what's happened to the people of Tyrone?

Just got a text of the ma - a lad who's living there says it's the lights of the cars cause there is a dip in the road. Sorry to disappoint all you ghost hunters!!
