Will the live register hit the highest figures since the 60's

With the 2,000 jobs gone in dell, and the 10,000 jobs that will be effected by it, it looks likely that the live register will hit the highest figure since 60's.

Also, anyone know why the live register was higher in the 90's than in the last recession in the 80's?

It will probably start dropping a touch when the government's prayer for mass emigration pays off. The reduction will be proportional to the increase in the Australian immigrant population.
