On the lunch time show. Reporter in from the sunday world. Said criminals are laughing at government calling for handgun bans. Said laubour are talking out the top of there hats. Sunday world reporter said he visited a range and had notting but respect fro the sport and how its conducted. And all a handgun ban will do is kill the sport, not have any effect on criminals as there is NO evidence to prove handguns are been stolen by criminals. :)

Thanks for that chem, I'll keep an eye on it and post something in the Press Clipping thread.
Unfortunately, Newstalk appear to only podcast highlights rather than the entire show, but the item'll be included with a bit of luck.

That's really great to hear, there's been so much bullsh*t lately it's been very depressing. It just seems to me that there's a constant drip drip attack on our sports from the media and some politicians and it gets worse every day.

I really am glad to hear some sections of the media are starting to see the light. Hopefully others wil follow suit because its such blatant lies and misinformation that are making the problem worse.

Maybe we should get a spokesman for the criminal associations to make a statement on the matter :D

The Lunchtime with Eamon Keane podcast for the week ending 9th January is up (http://83.138.170.50/podcasts/audio/0901PODCAST.mp3), but it's only 34 minutes long and is only about the Dell closure, Israel/Gaza, and football; no sign of anything on firearms (legally held or otherwise).

There's interesting stuff up from Today FM, The Last Word with Matt Cooper though-
