Anyone else played this yet?

its been a while since there has been an amazing space stratagy game. This shows great promise but i find the limitations to fleet sizes and deference building sizes makes the same next to impossible to win if the map involves 4 or 5 star systems.

The game shows great promise hopefully an expansion or a nice patch will tidy it up a little but i am enjoying it, its no heagomonia but its a fun game.

theres an expansion out next month I think called entrenchment.good game though I must start playing it again.I did'nt like space stratergy before this came along :eek:

then try heagomonia, old game but the graphic still surpass modern games of the same scale

I'm going to try this game out this week. Hopefully it will live up to my expectations...

I tried the game out. Its pretty cool, but after about 6 games online I find it too boring.

makes me wish i was younger, what with work and everything i find i only have about 8 or so free hours on a weekday so no chance of getting a game in there and we had a lan one weekend but 16 hours in it felt like a waste of a day considering the game wasent even close to finished.

I do like the latest update to entrenchment though and ill have agame against the AI but i find a human player in this game very very challanging and could see games streaching on for days, if not weeks or months depending on the size of the map (i remember playing BOTF, one map lasted me and a mate 5 months and then the game crashed after that turn)

I love extremly long, compicated, grooling, eye iching games that can last weeks but i havent done that in years.

I was thinking of waiting for more AI updates then starting a game with like 9 star systems and 15-40 planets in each system and 10 AI in ever star.

90 players on a map of that scale would last a long time.

What the **** are space poinies? do you get them after you get everything else

Not sure where you would buy it, other than trying to look for it second hand.

Another game worth trying to find in a similar vein is Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. I loved that one also. Big Capital Ships with pretty lazers (pew pew). That one you can buy still on steam (though I hate to recommend anything on steam these days)

I got the game, palyed one skirmish which lasted for 8 hours, and didn't play again.

Homeworld 2 is better in my opinion, a whole day for a game is a bit too long.

Nexus is tough, and slow as hell. The story is actually pretty good however, but the acting is abysmal.

I just found it on ebay for a fiver including postage. Second hand but I guess it'd be next to impossible to find it new.

i recently bought heagomonia (for the 4th time btw!!!!! ****ing stress)

you can get it direct to drive download for $10 (cant remember site ill edit this post later when i go home) great game. A friend lent me nexus i might give it shot

I got heagomonia through the post yesterday. Seems like a good game although it has a few bugs in the graphics settings. The manual claims it can be put up to 1600x1200 but it only gives a max option of 1280x1024.

Yeah I got it. Haven't had a chance to play it though.
It's fairly small (about 300mb).

As far as I know, the plan is for them to release them individually on impulse as downloads only, then at the end of the the year release a boxed pack with all three.
