I have been on a restricted diet. If I start on the Weight Wachers diet would I put on weight or maintain my current weight. Would like to eat a variety of foods.

In what way is your diet restricted?

Generally, if you are eating a certain number of calories in order to lose weight, then you need to eat only slightly more to maintain. You can't go back to your old ways or you'll put the weight back on.

I'd start by adding in more veg and fruit and quality proteins. See if this affects your weight and adjust accordingly. Don't make sudden changes.

If you were on a highly restricted starvation plan like lipotrim then your metabolism could be screwed. You might be in "starvation mode", where your metabolism is so slow that very little food will cause you to gain weight. yo-Yo dieting.

WW and other calorie controlled type diets are based on the average population, people will vary, just like 2 different cars which both weigh 1 ton could have different fuel efficiencys.
