I've seen a pretty nasty virus in last 2 days I think its a variant of Win32.Virut.Gen it spreads across the network pretty quick and will start broadcasting on any port it can find open, it appeared as a DOS attack initially but after looking at it I found MSDDLL.exe running and an up to date version of NOD32 wasn't detecting it, I have spoken with Eset and they are working on it as they believe the variant I saw had different signatures hence not yet dectected by NOD32.

Malwarebytes AV was able to detect it and appears to have cleaned a lot of it but I'm still seeing some references in the registry.

So if you are seeing something that looks like a DOS on your firewall have a peak at task manager and see if MSDDLL.exe is running

    Hey Villain,

You get any removal tools or solutions for this virus?

Mate of mine is having serious issues with it at the moment. Using NOD32 also.

    Cheers.
