Love him, love him, love him, he doesn't just wear t-shirts and converse on stage. He wears suits and white shirts and has a sense of class and is so dry and so funny. Easily the best comedian to come out of Ireland and my home County Meath at that. The man should be bowed down too for what he has added to the world. Black books, all his stand-up, even his latest film- a film with me in it, not his best work but still so funny!
The man can do no wrong... he is someone that is smart, witty, dry and insightful....

"I can't swim. I can't drive, either. I was going to learn to drive but then I thought, well, what if I crash into a lake?”

“I don't do drugs. If I want a rush I just stand up when I'm not expecting it.”

Someone the other day told me they hadn't heard of him, I gasped and gave them an utter look of disguist!

First of all, let me say that I am not one to come on and bash people in these forums. That being said, I just spent the last eight minutes watching his videos on youtube.....

    .......and want that time back.

Is he pretending to be drunk or does he have a diasbility that I am not aware of ?

You don't deserve to still be breathing!

    Hold on.
Isn't "The dishevelled look" part of Moran's shtick.

TBH IMHO he's not as funny as he/people like to think he is.
A large part of the apparent hilarity is attributable to the half-drunk, slurring, "random utterance" persona he seems to love.

Having said all that, i wouldn't exactly call the guy unfunny or lacking wit.
"Meh" i think is the phrase i'm looking for.

I foresee a swift end to this thread...

Which is a shame, because Dylan Moran is by far my favourite comedian.

Not even a smile at that routine lol

This may be because I see alot of the things that he is about to say before he says them, but maybe I am being critical.

Obviously, he is doing a hell of a lot better than I am in our chosen careers.
    lol

I have mixed feelings on Dylan Moran. A bit hit and miss for me. I loved him in that show he did which I believe was in Dublin which includes the hilarious bit with the two French starving artists. However other times I've seen him I've found him a bit disappointing. I seen him on a Just For Laughs episode and didn't laugh once. I'd say he's probably Ireland's funniest at the minute though.

simi I agree with u, converse are okay, I have nothing against people that wear them, I just don't think they are a very individual choice of clothing and I'm entitled to my opinion.
But if you don't like Dylan Moran, I won't even respond to you.
Normal? yeah right! eh try humourless maybe that's what you are! :)

He has his own films, series, won awards year after year, he needs no defence, if you don't find him funny, I'd eh rethink careers...
