Starting Tuesday the 6th of January(tomorrow!) at 9:00pm with the pilot from season 1.

Wonder if its too little too late , the show is now over 4 years old. undoubtly its still watchable now, but i've never known a show to be as popular without being on TV, alot of people will have already seen it.

I only heard about this show recently and have never seen an episode so I am looking forward to watching it from the start.

Series 5 is still in progress so there is another tranch of episodes to come. I don't know when the show is expected to end; it still rates highly and is not the type of show to have an over-reaching arc.

It is great to see a domestic channel finally showing House.

I've seen every episode of House to date, flicking through & saw the pilot on TV3, just me or did the picture quality look off?

Channel 6 used to show it. That's where I first started watching it.

It's good that it's starting on TV3, to give people who've never had a chance to watch it, to follow the story from the beginning.

Had to laugh though, Hallmark played the pilot episode on Monday afternoon (I think!) :P

They were up to the final episode of Season 4 on Sunday... they must have reset back to the beginning.

Indeed - just bad timing for TV3 I suppose. Though in the same breath it probably won't effect them too much. There must be a fair proportion of people who don't have Hallmark (or just don't watch it)...

I have it on Sky Digital... but I don't think it comes as standard on NTL.

Are you referring to the yellow patient played by Andrew Airlie? He's supposed to be yellow. The rest of them should look normal.

nah the whole was off colour

    Agreed!

Perhaps the episode had a dose of Huntingtons :D

Doesn't huntingtons kill your nervous system? whats that got to do with yellow?

I think it jaundice(sp?) your looking for?

Wonder why House was never bought by utv or channel 4 especially with Hugh Laurie in the lead role
It is a bigger show in spain and germany than in the uk

I saw a huge House ad on the side of a bus today, with this picture:

Hugh Laurie reckons it was because the British could never accept him having an American accent.

I cant believe this show is 4 years old! Ive just become hooked after watching 7 episodes in a row( yep 7) on Hallmark a few weeks ago! Thank a boring sunday for that!
Even though its fab, its not like the usual run of the mill medical drama series (ER,Greys,Scrubs)! The whole "differential" concept is quite terminology challenging imho! In the others "chem 7 stat" is understandable but House is in a league of its own. I have NTL digital record and i found i was constantly rewinding to understand the "joke"!

Sayin that...i was never a fan of Hugh Laurie till now! I wish there was a bit more..even a hint of the romantic shown, rather than just the frustrated agreeances of Cuddy etc!

It was intentional, it's the same on the dvd of the pilot, it went back to normal for the first real episode though

I love House :D It's so crazy and unrealistic.

House is unreal I'm surprised RTE or TV3 didnt catch on earlier and buy the rights, its in season 5 in the US now but still great show!

I see tonights episode is changed to 10pm, don't know if this is a permanent thing.

anyone have any ideas on what the viewing figures have been like?

I've seen numerous adverts plus street and bus advertising around the place, and not just in Dublin either. TV3 must be hoping for big things to be investing that sorta cash

they announced after last nights episode that it's moving to 3E and there's four episodes in a row on this sunday from 2pm.

I e-mailed TV3 as I am unable to receive their re-branded channel 6 (not to mention the fact I don't have the time for Sunday 'marathons') and was disappointed with the reschedule. They replied:
    Hi there,

Unfortunately due to a new schedule plan for Tuesday Night’s here on TV3 Series ‘House’ has been moved to a new Timeslot and will now air on our sister Channel 3e.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this late schedule change. In an increasingly competitive marketplace , it is imperative that TV3 continue to present the strongest schedule possible to our viewers.

Thank you for taking the time to contact TV3, your feedback is genuinely appreciated.

    Kind Regards.

I gather it wasn't getting the big ratings they expected so they scrapped it. I think I'll put up a dish for the free UK channels and scrap the Irish channels all together; they cause nothing but irritation.

I only caught this thread now and I'm livid, Loved House on a Tuesday, I don't understand why after 6 episodes and a huge expensive promotional campaign they upped and moved it, and replaced it with some "Worst Prison" type program..

yeah really annoying how they changed that - my UPC recorder recorded that 'banged up' prog when it should have recorded house...grrr!
    Had to d/l it then!
Feel a bit behind the times with all u lot talking about S05!
    Brilliant prog though

On another note - weird how they changed the theme song from 'teardrop' to some kind of clone of it after 2 or 3 episodes!

Does anyone know if tv3 will be showing another season of House any time soon?

Nah I guess they are just going to keep running it on 3e, still seeing the odd bus ad for it though :p
