Home NAS advice

    Folks

Thinking of getting a home NAS. Main driver is that we have a couple of laptops on the go at the moment all with their own storage. As laptops are not lasting too long at the moment we figure a central store for pictures, music, docs etc would be good. We have a wireless network so I figure we can hook it up to that.

While not of immediate concern in time it would be good to run the odd movie from it to the TV.

There are a load of options out there so I would love to hear the good and bad from people who have actually installed and run with them

    Thanks in advance

aldi or lidl often do a targa 500gb nas for under €100 ......i got one and it works great. plug it into your broadband router and run the setup cd on one laptop then once its configured u can map the drive on the other laptops by entering its ip address.
