hmv.com, missing item

I placed an order for a boxset on 3rd December, it was apparently posted by HMV on 7th December but it still hasn't arrived.

I've tried all the local An Poist sorting offices and there's no sign of it and because it was only sent by standard post there's no way to track it.

With all that in mind I rang the HMV customer helpline and they said they'd send me an email with a for to fill in.

The question I have is does anyone have a similar experience with HMV and if it was resolved favourably how long did it take.

The thing was supposed to be a Christmas present(that went well:rolleyes::D), I've ordered from them before with no problems but when ssomething like this happens I always get the feeling a company thinks I'm someone trying to scam them.

I had a boxset take about this long with HMV before.
It turned out that it was opened and was probably inspected by someone ,maybe when they do this it takes an extra week or so for it to be sent on.

The boxset I ordered was 9.99 ,but it was quite large so they probably thought it was a fiddle or something.

Hmm I've ordered MGS4 off HMV.co.uk. Shipped on the 31st according to their site. How long should it take?

In the past it's taken from 8-14 days for me.

The delivery I posted about took three weeks and was around summertime.
I usually get hmv orders in 8 days.
