laptop with windows xp not starting up after aborted service pack 3 update

someone help i cant seem to turn on my laptop. i turned it on as normal yesterday and i decided to download the relevant service pack sadly i didnt do any backups. i started to download it fine i thought the usual it rebooted i think then nothing i then turned it off later on i switched it on it showed me a white screen…

Did you try inserting your XP disc?

Sounds like you might have to start up in "Safe Mode" and revert to an earlier system setup date using "System Restore".
