From Dublin it's only charter airlines. Not sure about ex UK, but it may well be the same situation.

You could use Aer Lingus to Lanzarote and ferry from Pto del Carmen to Corralejo.

What he said, or Aer Lingus to Las Palmas and then https://www.bintercanarias.com/ local flight onwards.

The other option is via Madrid - both Easyjet and Iberia fly Mad- Fue, but you have to watch the flight times as some of the flights require either a long wait in the airport or an overnight in Madrid.

I'm planning on combining my holiday in Fuerte this year with a couple of nights in Madrid.

    Knackers?

Knackers???What??? Do you mean Ryanair? Yea I dont think a whole lot of them myself but my partner and I love Fuerteventura and it was a handy direct flight! The ferry from Lanzarote is the best possibility for the nearest direct route I think.

Q? If a person was to book a package holiday would the flight be directly from Dublin/Shannon to Fuerteventura or would there be a stop as you say?

Went a couple of times with budget and the flights were direct. Budget do sell flights only also but any time i have priced them they are quite dear. But if you dates are flexible i believe you can get some good deals.

i too love fuerte and i have to say most of what i've read about ryanairs pullout puts the blame elsewhere.

I meant knackers only fly to Fuerteventura. Sorry, I'm just being elitist looking down on peasants going to crap destinations for their holidays. Each to their own.

FX Meister what is the problem you have with Fuerteventura? I wouldnt exactly say I pick it as a top holiday destination but more of a place myself and herself choose to go over a weekend break in Ireland. We would go for a winter break there or Lanzarote to get away from the ****ty Irish weather. For a start I wouldnt leave the money at home because we are being screwed through the nose for everything. Fuerteventura is the warmest of the islands and must have some of the most unspoilt beaches in all of europe.
Did you have a bad experience or something?

NB: This thread was to question the flights to and from Fuerteventura! If you had nothing more creative or related to this thread other than venting your anger and insulting people then you had no business engaging in conversation at all on this thread. If you return could you have a bit more than an insult to say! Thanks

+As for your peasant remark I took my partner to Fuerteventura 4 (yes 4) times last year, not to mention once to New York, and once to Brussels. That doesnt sound like a peasant to me! Did you make it away for a break last year? :)

Quit the trolling. If you have nothing to contribute, don't post.

    Op, don't feed the troll.

To answer your q re charters, they are direct flights.

Those flights work out well on the way out but both Ryanair and Aer Lingus leave too early on the way back to link in with FUE flight on the way back without an overnight stay unfortunately. Anybody have an alternative flight from Madrid to Dublin?

<Edit> I found flights with Air Europa that get into Madrid in plenty of time to get a connecting flight to Dublin

Mikedragon32,you say there are direct flights! Could you mention with whom please? Would that be a package deal or direct flight? Thanks

Ginger83, Budget travel do direct flights. They cost over €200 though so not as good as the old Ryanair flights :(

Most tour operators offer flight only packages. All are direct.
