probably not...it could be 4yrs on the road with an avg of 22k/year

if they are all motorway or mostly then its not really high but its more than the normal average

GF has done 30k miles in the last year, 90% motorway miles, the car has 68k miles now compared to 38k miles last year, and it is running just the same.

Its an 05 1.7 CDTI Astra.

Mine has 118k, and it's an 04. Bought it a little over a year ago with 89k and fsh. Running just fine.

88K high ? Only broken in :D 'tis a good reliable block under that bonnet. What a great time to buy a car ( if thats what you're up to )..you should pick it up for a song;)

i have a 2005 D4D with 70k miles on it, and it drives just as good as any other car i have owned.

still pulls strong (relatively speaking with only 116bhp)
still comfortable on motorways and around town ie shocks etc

clutch still heavy but thats a factory characteristic.

jan 2005 to jan 2009 = 4 years, which equates to 22k a year as posted above.

little bit higher than normal but depends how that mileage was clocked up ie motorway or city.

Is that miles or kilometers as 05 Irish cars had kmph speedometers from 2005 onwards?

Either way 88k miles or kilometers is not high for a now 4 year old diesel car. The important thing is service history and how it was maintained.
