Suit Hire for Foreign Wedding

    Hi all,

I'm getting married in Spain next summer and was planning to rent suits for the bestman, father of the bride, myself etc. Being in Spain I think it would be good to get a suit of a lighter material than that of your typical Irish wedding suit.

Has anyone here, hired such a light, summer style suit from anywhere in or around Dublin? If so what did you think of the quality?

    Thanks.

Well congratulations :). We got married in South Africa one January so we had the same problem.
My husband also found the rental suits very heavy for the climate we got married in and eventually decided to buy a lighter suit. The shop threw in the waistcoat rental free as the new suit would have cost the same as the rental. To be honest we didnt look too hard but the few inquiries we made didnt hold much joy.
Do you have a spanish wedding organiser who could make local inquiries?

Yes I've had a quick look around and it looks like buying a suit might be the best option. Thanks for the help.

I'd recommend checking out what other couples who wed abroad. Confetti.ie has a real wedding section with lists of suppliers where the featured couples got everything. There's bound to be a suit-hire in there for you.

    Good luck!

we got married in spain about 2 yrs ago..same dilema whether to buy or rent as wanted something light, not conventional irish wedding rig out.

Anyway came across a place in Swords, cant remember name off hand but he had two "light" suits so only two choices, one was bang on, so rented it for myself, bestman and the fathers, shope were cool, no extra charge, just picked them up before we all headed off and dropped back when home, was very reasonable aswell, we had a page boy and he threw in his suit for free.

Gives you piece of mind heading over that at least you know suits are ok, sometimes the spanish are very "manana" so if suit wrong over there, could be stuck...
