Hi girla, anyones 2 cents would be much appreciated.

I went from a size 6-8 to a 12+ in the last 1.5year. It was a long time coming, I dont know how stayed a skinny milink for so long and ate what I wanted! I love my new figure, curvy and sexy but I have no idea how to dress.

Im 5.4, and all the weight is on my sides, belly, thighs and bum. Im thin up top, but then a waddle on bottom. I went shopping yesterday and discovered Im now a tight size 12. Over christmas I was worried I was pregnant and it turned out to be the fact I was wearing jeans a size too small (10).

I went to liffey valley yesterday and bought black bootcut jeans and a cardigan. I have no idea how to dress myself with my new figure, Im afraid of all the new styles like the baggy tops, I just dont get the latest fashion.

Im starting a new job on Tuesday, and the dress code is casual. Im afraid I will look frumpy. Can anyone suggest an outift, or even post a pic of tops that would suit me?

    Thanks girls.

If i were you I'd avoid baggy tops as you are smaller on top. Another small piece of advice is to get yourself measured for a bra as you may have gone up a size. Wrap around dresses are very forgiving on your type of figure too.

I'd love to have your figure! Don't hide it

Thanks! I feel really healthy, everyone was always commenting on how gaunt I looked before. I saw a wrap around dress in H&M yesterday and was too afraid to try it on because it was tight, but I was just on the Trinny&Suzannah website and they said for me, big bum + flabby belly + big boobs, something like that is good!

    Wish I was fashionable :o

I've gained some and its hard but not undoable. H and M are excellent. A lot of those smocky tops can make you look bigger than you are. Wrap over tops are great and invest in a pair pf spanx too

Bootcut jeans are always good. Go for long tank tops / tees as too short a top I find isn't very flattering. Go for long cardigans too (they have great ones in Topshop at the mo!)

Steer clear of baggy tops / smock tops, etc. I find smock tops very unflattering and make people look a few sizes bigger than they actually are.

As for work, if it's casual just go for a pair of bootcut / flared pants (Next have great workwear) and a thin jumpery top. I get a lot of my clothes for work in Next as they always have a good selection. Check it online first - www.nextdirectory.ie

Hi, I bought some bootcut black jeans in Oasis and Dorothy Perkins yesterday and went oto Promod in Liffey Valley for the tops. I tried on plenty in Topshop, but I couldnt justify €48 for just one top!

Thanks for all your suggestions, I have a much better picture of whats good to wear now.

Thanks for the Gok link Lil Kitten!
