Some interesting stuff there, I have a range of various thoughts or mantras to keep me going some only really come to mind when I need them. I hope to get a good long run in today and heres some of the mantras I will probably use during it. Usually about the time I need to get my encouragement stick out!

"You knew this was going to hurt when you started, so shut the fcuk up, finish the job and then you can moan all you want".

"You a big boy now Seamus, what are you going to do sit on the side of the road and cry".

"Its better to live a day as a tiger, than a thousand as a mouse".

As I said I have alot more that I can't think of now, but they come to mind when I need them.

i must be getting soft in my old age as i had a lump in my throat for many of those clips.

the main mind game i use is that i pick the person directly in front of me and tell myself "there is no way he/she is beating me today"
then when i pass them i pick the next person.

dont know what i will do if im ever leading a race:D

Saw this blog post earlier. Some cheesy stuff, but some quotables.

don't watch this if you intend watching the film saint ralph as this is the ending!

Its about a 14 year old running the boston marathon in the hope of winning and bringing his sick mother out of her coma. Cheesy but good and a great rendition of halleluja.

All men dream: But not equally
those who dream by night in the dusty
recesses of their minds wake in the day
to find that it was vanity: But the dreamers
of the day are dangerous men, for they may
act their dreams with open eys, to make it
    possible.

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever." L.A.

Gets me through the pain barrier every time.
