Xbox broke,bad MS service!

    Our Xbox broke there the other month,the problem being it froze about 2 minutes in to games and Dvds.It was still in warranty so I thought it,no problem,MS will sort it for me.Rang up and was asked where the RROD showing on it,answer being no,then was told they wont replace of fix it unless the red rings where on it.That was it,no solution was offered or anything.Very dissapointed in MS,but has this happened to anybody else?

    Just tell them it is showing. So many get returned they usually just send out a refurbed without looking at it.

    When did you buy it? The 3 year warranty is for the RROD. Every other problem (like the disc drive in your case) is 2 years for Irish consumers.

    Failing that, fake it like thelastangryman suggested. What's the worse that could happen? ;)

    Never thought of going the dishonest route:D New Xboxwas cheap anyway,just the console to buy and that was it.Thanks!
