The new album "A French Kiss in the Chaos" for me represents a maturing of this band's talent. Ya man sticks to his beliefs about everything that is wrong with society today and wants to share that with us - what is wrong with that ? If you don't like it don't listen. There are a couple of tracks which are eminently forgettable, but equally some which transport you into the Reverend's world. I prefer the more rhythmical lilt to that of the staccato Arctic Monkeys and the Reverend remains one of my favourite bands of recent times. The shame is that will have to travel to UK this time to catch them on tour as they have not included a Dublin date.

If you want uplifting feel-good stuff, this is not your bag, but if you want thought-provoking, musically sound and lyrically interesting stuff, give them a try - you might just like them.

I like the new album too, but not as much as the first one, for two reasons.

From a technical standpoint I don't think it's as accomplished and I think yer man should be playing more keys !
