So taking a trip up to Belfast next week and wondering where's best to shop for clothes and shoes? Any nice little boutiques or vintage stores etc? I'm getting either the bus or train up so it has to be in walking distance from the centre. (I just can't justify paying 45euro more for a coat in a store here.)

    Thanks!

Theres a vintage store called Best Vintage opposite City hall. Ive lived there for the past year and a half but I suck at remember street names, but heres a crappy map to direct you...

Its good for womens clothes, but not the best for guys stuff. If youre looking for the usual shops like River Island and Next, they're opposite city hall too (the street leading away from it, just walk down it and they are on the right). Theres a H&M further down that street on the left hand side (past Primark). River Island also have a store at Victoria Square shopping centre along with Tommy Hilfiger, Levi, Topman etc. Great shopping centre.

Google Maps is your friend for locations.

Heres an even worse map I made using Google Maps. Hope it helps :P

I love Belfast, but will it not cost you the guts of the amount you are going to save by going up there, on petrol and parking and eating out? If I go, it is to do a lot of shopping!

Outside the vintage stores, there is the Castlecourt which contains a big Debenhams with much lower prices than down here, and the new Victoria Square development which contains a similarly cheaper House of Fraser.
