    Hi ,
I am looking to get my first electric and amp .
I have a budget of around €800 . I am into classic rock , metal etc but I would love to have a guitar that could play alot of styles
In respects to the Amp I am looking for something that is not just for bedroom use (I have an electro-acoustic as well so something that would go will with that would be great).

    Thanks

Hmmm, this is just a few ideas. It's late, and i'm too tired for anything concrete, so think about these...

    Guitars
    This http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/ubox.cgi?T=syosai&sline=1017&print=1&keys2=sound-media%40ishibashi.co.jp&tid=list3.... 268E

    Or this http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/ubox.cgi?T=syosai&sline=1161&print=1&keys2=shinsaibashi%40ishibashi.co.jp&tid=list3...... 268E

    Amps
    This http://www.thomann.de/gb/fender_fm212r_egitarrencombo.htm...235E

    With this http://www.thomann.de/gb/line6_pod_x3.htm.....349E

Credit to fey for the pod + fender suggestion!!.

Ok,the idea here is that you will use the fender as a speaker, essentially. You'll run your guitar into the pod, then into the fender. The pod is designed to simulate different amps and effects (and does it wonderfully!!) so you can get just about any tone you want out of it!. Then the fender amplifies the modified guitar signal coming from the pod. It's very versatile, and they sound great!.

That will be 100 watts of solid state power, and plenty to take care of any pub or small hall gig. And you can run the pod through a PA system too, so that will cover you for all your stadium needs ;). As for the acoustic, i'm not sure. The pod probably has a few acoustic models too, but even if you just run your acoustic straight through the frontman it'll still sound ok. The frontman has plenty of clean headroom and a fairly usuable EQ, which should take care of that.

The total price of that setup would be about 850E,but not including shipping. If you get the pod from the Ishi u-box (same as the guitars) you could save about 150-200euro. When you factor that in, with shipping, it should work out nicely at about 800E :).

EDIT: ugh, the guitar links were partly ishibashi bein' weird and partly me being crap!. Go here http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/ and in the box on the left, tick the electric guitar box. Then, in the search entry-field (the biggest blank space on the left) type "edwards" and press search. The red and cream guitars that show up would suit you nicely!.
