    feedback anyone?

they seem to be very reasonable pricewise, I think I'll be getting quite a few items off them...15 euro delivery to the republic sounds good as well

someone did reply saying they were impressed with quality and price, but for some reason the post disappeared.... will be checking them out myself in a while and will report back....

Looks good. It's a pity that the pictures on their site are a bit limited and the showroom is so far north.

But what's really appealing is that the sterling prices offered are far better than the euro equivalent as is often the case nowadays.

From experience, does anyone know if there would be an issue if I chose to pay in stg and request delivery to Dublin?

I think I'll take a spin up in the next fortnight if they agree to above ;)

    here's my experience with d2d...
bought 1200 euros worth of stuff, a divan bed, a childrens double bunk, matresses for the above as well
was dealing with a fella named simon. got 50euros worth of a discount.
on delivery one part of the childrens bunk appeared to be damaged so got on to simon about it seeing that we needed the bed there and then. he kept saying how this is strange and how it never happened before and was reluctant enough to come up with a solution so I had to suggest delivery of the broken part by courier myself...
the part arrived in 2 days time then as agreed, fair enough.

few days later we've noticed that there were no drawers in the divan bed which we've paid extra for...had to get on to simon again who again kept saying how this is strange and how it never happened before...at the end I was told we will get the proper divan with drawers in two weeks time with no apology for the inconvenience...
he was also supposed to get back to me to confirm delivery date but never did and I had to ring them myself numerous times and strangely enough simon was never to be found, either busy, off, on break, etc...
d2d's last response was delivery tuesday which is today, will see how that works out...

in conclusion, d2d's furniture itself seems good quality and decent price but the service itself leaves more to be desired...
be careful to check everything that you order and dont pay the whole amount in full when ordering, that might change their attitude a bit

D2D Furniture is a small company who work very hard using very competitive margins to undercut larger high street stores, considerably in most cases. Please have a look in the biggest high street stores in Ireland and you will see the same furniture on our website. We don't hold much stock and so our week is a continuous cycle of chasing suppliers to receive goods, loading vans for delivery which is done under my constant supervision and the delivery of goods by a few very careful and trustworthy drivers. I know you can't keep everyone happy all the time but believe me nobody tries harder than us. We are tryng to grow our company and we get really disappointed if we receive negative feedback.

I don't think anyone would contest our low prices and it was nice to hear that the previous contributor had nice things to say about the quality of our goods. I am familiar with this customer's order and:

    1) The customer placed an order with the specific requirement that they receive their goods by a given date and they received them before this date
    2) The bunk bed was received damaged (Thurs evening in the West of Ireland) and after informing us that the only acceptable outcome would be to receive a replacement bunk bed by the weekend this is what happened
    3) Their replacement divan base was ordered and the customer was told that they would receive this on our next run in their area (about 2 weeks). Obviously they were able to use the original base for the period until their new base with drawers arrived. We couldn't give an exact date because we always organise our delivery runs 24-48 hours in advance but the customer was reassured several times that it would be about 2 weeks, was given the 24-48 hours notice and did receive the goods when we said they would

I just wanted to state these facts so that other visitors to this forum can read a balanced view and decide whether D2D furniture offer a good service. I am sorry that this customer experienced the problems they had.

Thanks, and I will check this forum regularly now and answer any questions here.

Simon, I want to order a complete bedroom set (bianca range) + mattress delivered to Dublin, what is the delivery time? can I pay c.o.d. ? it says 21 days on your site but I need it before then.

We will try and deliver the goods within 21 days. If you speak to one of the sales team by email or phone then they will have all the information to hand such as stock levels and delivery schedules and using that they will be able to give you a definite delivery date.

Sorry for the delay in posting

Sorry to bring up an old thread. No association with this company.

Ordered a mattress from them on Monday. Was delivered today - exactly at the time promised. Very happy with the product and even more so with the service.:)

    Hello Xtraa, I'm in Dublin.

Please could you explain why my posts re D2D furniture have been deleted- I responded to a post asking about them by someone on this forum- and posted a positive post as this is my expirence and opinion- I should not have to explain myself to anyone especially people I do not know but here goes. I have no connection to this company as suggested only as a very greatful customer who was in dire need of bedroom furniture after Manor interiors in Belfast went bust last year and my order not filled or deposit returned- I needed a replacement bedroom suite quickly! and D2D filled that need. I am a customer who happens to live in the same County ( Carrickfergus ans Crumlin not exacly neighbours)AND NOTHING ELSE.

    looking forward to your reply

After my experience with this company, I would never buy from them again and nor would I recommend them to anyone. I was unhappy with what I had been sold and made a complaint but was basically ignored. Simon was very friendly and communicative when taking my order and money but was no where to be found when I complained. Despite my numerous calls and messages, Simon never returned any of my calls - instead I was sent a brush off email. No action was taken by them to investigate or remedy the problem. When I did get to talk to an agent, I was dealt with in an aggressive and rude manner – I suppose they were hoping I would disappear. Now I am stuck with a bed I cant use and have to sleep on the sofa which by the way has proven to be more comfortable and in the process I have lost a couple hundred euros. So unless you’re rich enough to throw good money away, I would advise you to buy locally from a REPUTABLE company which will look after you and provide good aftersale service.

I too have come accross this company and am interesting in ordering, but the negatives are very alarming...

anyone else have a positive order, that isnt a shill?!

I would say proceed with caution,
the main thing is to never pay the full balance up front at least then you'd have some leverage in case of smthg going pear shaped

or pay by credit card and try a charge back through the cc company if all isnt as advertised?

Anyone from munster have experience with this supplier... i have a larger house too kit out..

girldublin post seems very suspect too me!! joining date and posting date being the same, and no other posts since or revisits to the forum since posting!!! id imagine there is alot of competition in the market between all, which leads to each company stabbing/badmouthing there competitors in the back with every opportunity possible.. i have seen it on other forumns in the last 12 months and dealing with various suppliers in the construction industry since the big slump..

    this is my opinion!!

I have just ordered some furniture from this company. Will be interested to see what the quality is like and when it arrives. Hope it is of good quality as I am relying on weeding the good from the bad and the fake posters on this thread.

Think I would agree with barryi200, girldublin seems to be a competitor or has an interest in the industry and seems hell bent on damaging this company but I will keep this thread posted about my order and let you honestly know what my experience is.

Have visited the so called showroom at Dundrod.only to be very disappointed.I was at least expecting a reasonable proportion of the furniture and beds shown on site to be on show, but was greeted with a handful of beds and a few "bits and pieces" of the more budget end furniture.
I asked the manager Simon if he would be able to order in a bedside table of a range that I quite liked just to see and feel the quality and the finish of the product before I would commit to spending over £2000 ona full bedroom set.
He looked at me as though I had two heads and told me that if he ordered it in I would have to pay for it up front.Which I was not prepared to do.
I drove all the way from omagh to what I can only describe as a "fly by night" operation that is no more a furniture specialist than I am.

My rating : a complete waste of time and diesel

    Dear all
Just a quick message re: D2D furniture. I ordered bunk beds just after christmas, the delivery was promised within 21 days and it was delivered bang on time. I'm based in the south so expected long lead time but D2D delivered!
The contact from d2d was fantastic, updates on when delivery would be and the delivery guy was fantastic, keep me updated as to when he'd arrive and he arrived early!!How often does that happen????
Well done D2D it's nice to see such service and committment to your customers.

Ok Im back. Got delivery today and I have to say I am very pleased with the quality of the wood. I priced the exact same furniture in Dublin last year and it was a good deal more expensive. I always look at the inside of drawers when I purchase furniture as this is a good indicator of the quality of wood used. In my case the bottom of the drawers are solid wood. I purchased a media unit and a matching sideboard. They contacted me before the weekend to let me know the delivery would be with me on Monday and in fairness they delivered as promised. Believe me if they had not met their agreed delivery date I would have slated them on here. But I think credit is due when somebody does what it says on the tin.

Overall a great experience even though I was a bit worried having never seen the furniture in advance. Personally I think the furniture I bought looks better than it does on their website.

I recently bought a 5ft king-size bed from d2d. The whole process was smooth. Delivery was as was promised, the delivery guy was super helpful, the bed was put together there and then for me. I asked local shops and other internet suppliers if they could match the price and they advised me to buy the bed for what d2d were offering. Simon was super helpful also, very polite and professional. I will certainly buy from d2d again (no connection with them).

We were looking for a single bed with a guest bed underneath (they call them trundles). D2D had a lovely solid wooden one and the price could not be beaten by any of the shops down in Dublin. Simon was very helpful on the phone and arrived when he said he would. The bed is great and the I have no complaints.
