Will MPEG4 channels show up in my channel list?

Hi folks. On a TV with just MPEG2 decoding, will the RTE MPEG4 channels show up in the channel list at least?

I live in NI (about 35 miles as the crow flies from the transmitter). I have a masthead amp and can receive excellent analogue RTE signals.

Non of my DTT's pick up any RTE digital channels in their list. So do I need an MPEG4 decoder to even make them show up in the list, or is my antenna system not good enough?

    Cheers

Channels should show up on DVB-T MPEG2 Freeview Tuner with sound and no picture. Note only Clermont Cairn, Three Rock, Mount Leinster and Spur Hill transmitters are currently active.

Your antenna is probably ok so just realign it to Clermont cairn channle number 53 I think and you will pick up the audio for TV and the 4 radio channels, or maybe Three rock which is on channel 54 worth a go too or Truskmore channel 55 if it has been converted yet.
You may be able to get pictures on your TV if you have a cam module that converts mpeg2 to mpeg4 ,see the compatability sticky for more details.;)

I forgot to mention that I currently receive my analogue RTE signals from Clemont Carn already..

Unlike the Analogue, the DTT on that mast is south facing only. :(
