Anyone know who the panel member was on the far right in the glasses? Kirstin something? Or Kristy/Christy?

Does a slot on the One show, don't think they are going to get rid of such a popular show like buzzcocks now. Sure wouldn't there be trouble getting Matt Lucas to appear every week too?

Loved Shooting Stars back in the day. The documentary was excellent. Some classic moments on it. Thought the new episode was fairly patchy though. Maybe missing Johnny Vegas or someone like that. As much as I'd love to see a new series maybe they'd be better off leaving it.

I loved the A-Team sketch that was in the docu beforehand

I thought it was a bit disappointing and not up to its usual standard, the documentary was brilliant though.

    Definitely missing Johnny Vegas.

I had a mild asthma attack watching this last night. I'm not joking!

The documentary was 10x better than the new episode, but was still great.

I thought it was a once-off, is it back for good (to paraphrase Take That)?!

One thing you have to admit is say what you want about Little Britain and it's ever increasing mediocrity (or just being downright crap), Matt Lucas was probably one the best things about Shooting Stars.

Just a little gutted I missed this :(

Any word on it (or even just the documentary part) getting a repeat?

Just because there seems to be a few that missed it:

11pm tonight on BBC2 is 'Shooting Stars: The Inside Story' and directly after it at midnight is the new episode.

Don't say you weren't told.. Sky+ that puppy in case you forget!

Ulrikakakakaka was looking rather fetching as usual. Seems to be going thru a bit of a goth phase?

No way fellow, The Make-up was lashed on by a plasterer. She was on Saturday kitchen a week or two earlier and was looking pretty raggedy. Dont get me wrong, I still would no question...a women with her experience would turn you inside out.

It wasn't up to the brilliance set by the earlier series. I think they ran out of stream by the end of the last series.

Watching the documentary was interesting; it was obviously done by Vic Reeve's own production company as I recognised Jim Moire's back garden in the links.

It's very hard to see where the pair can go now, it would be interesting to see them to into straight acting roles as a duo, although their remake of Hopkirk and Randall was sh*te.

    BUMP!

    Uvava...
BBC Two has recommissioned cult panel show Shooting Stars.

The show will return for a full series following the success of a one-off special last Christmas.

The new series, which will be hosted by Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, will see Celebrity Big Brother winner Ulrika Johnson return as head of one of the teams.

Comedian Jack Dee will become captain of the opposite team after his debut on the Christmas special.

“We’re really looking forward to it," said Mortimer of the recommission. "Jack is going to be a great headmaster and Ulrika is as game as ever so it should be a very pleasant evening’s journey.

"We have a new attitude and new rounds and this series will feature a secret weapon which will assist us in re-inventing the panel show again, just as Shooting Stars originally did.”

Shooting Stars ended its five-year run in December 2002.

Excellent! Had heard all the rumours and hoped they were true. Now I just hope it lives up to it's old standard!
